Connect2Family is a safe, secure, private, subscription-based website combining features of genealogy and social media for improved communications and interaction with close and extended family. Family members contribute to a single family tree, which includes living family members, and can share information, memories, stories, documents, photos, and videos about and with people on their tree.
The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania fulfills its mission—"to provide leadership and support in promoting genealogy through education, preservation, and access to Pennsylvania-related genealogical information"—by offering digital collections, programming, publications, and friendly assistance, including the soon-to-be-released Pennsylvania Genealogical Almanac, to help the 1 in 4 Americans with Pennsylvania ancestry.
Founded in 1897, the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to research on the lineal descent of the Mayflower Pilgrims and education about the Pilgrims who traveled aboard the Mayflower in 1620. The international headquarters of the Mayflower Society is on the campus of The Mayflower Society House, a historic 18th-century mansion located in downtown Plymouth, Massachusetts.

The Mayflower Society operates a genealogical research library and publishes the GSMD Silver Books, a series of genealogy books that follow the descendants of the Mayflower passengers. Since its founding, the Mayflower Society has welcomed over 100,000 members who have proven Mayflower descent and has continued its dedication to being the leading organization perpetuating the memory of the 1620 Mayflower Pilgrims through excellence in research and the preservation of family history. The Utah Genealogical Association (UGA) is a worldwide education-oriented society. The primary goal of UGA is to assist beginner to advanced genealogists with resources and information to become better researchers of their ancestry of all backgrounds. UGA offers education through monthly webinars, a DNA Special Interest Group, the Summit of Excellence conference, Crossroads magazine, and the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG) institute programs.

The National Genealogical Society (NGS) is dedicated to education, research standards, and preserving records. We help Americans find their ancestors and family stories by teaching research and other genealogy skills. NGS offers guidance for family historians, from beginners to the most advanced, through online courses, books, webinars, the NGS Family History conference, and acclaimed articles in NGS Monthly, NGS Magazine, and the National Genealogical Society Quarterly.

Our courses teach family researchers records, methodology, and using DNA; tips and techniques to build your family tree; and more. Our members include individuals, family organizations, societies, libraries, archives, and museums. Supporting genealogy organizations and encouraging membership in them among family historians allows collaboration within the community and best practices in advocacy, education, preservation, and research to enable people of all cultures to discover the past and create a lasting legacy.
The Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG) offers in-depth, advanced education for genealogists. Hosted by the Utah Genealogical Association, the program is held each January in a week-long institute format. It is followed by the SLIG Academy for Professionals, offering practical instruction for genealogists employed in the field. SLIG also offers institute-level courses in a virtual format each fall.
The Society of Genealogists is the United Kingdom’s oldest and largest family history society. Founded in 1911, we provide a research library, education program and resources for family historians, whether you are very experienced or just beginning your journey into your genealogy. We are a members’ society but also provide facilities for anyone interested in their family history, and of course we are a FamilySearch affiliate library.
Founded in 1845, the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS) is one of the country’s leading resources for family history research. We help genealogists of all skill levels improve their knowledge and understanding of their family and its place in history. We provide our award-winning website, AmericanAncestors.org, as the online repository for more than 1.4 billion searchable names from America and beyond. Although our name says New England, we provide expertise and research across American family history.
RQG is a not-for-profit organization. It is the professional body representing Qualified Genealogists. Qualified Genealogists are professional genealogists who have been awarded internationally recognized postgraduate qualifications from accredited institutions. Qualified Genealogists have each undertaken a minimum of two years postgraduate study of genealogy, and their knowledge and skills cover all aspects of family history research. Many have master's degrees.
A network of 95 societies worldwide is waiting to help you discover your Jewish ancestors. Jewish genealogical societies (JGS) are common interest groups that help members connect and build strength through family history. They provide education in research techniques and records, mentoring for beginners, research assistance, access to research libraries, and opportunities to volunteer. Societies hold programs and workshops in-person and virtually with renowned family historians. No matter your Jewish heritage, find your roots!
