Diego Torres is a singer, songwriter, producer, musician, and actor from Argentina. He is the winner of three Latin Grammys and a number of Latin MTV music awards. He has been nominated twice for Latin Pop Album of the Year at the American Grammys, and according to La Higuera, he is "one of the fundamental pillars of the Latin pop movement of this decade."

Why Is Diego Torres Famous?
Diego Torres is a multifaceted artist. He started his career as a young actor before moving into the world of music. Now he combines his two passions: acting and music. As an actor, he has been in nine movies; as a musician, he has released nine studio albums, one compilation, and three live albums. He has received multiple awards for his work, as well as gold and multiplatinum records throughout Latin America, the United States, and Europe.
Torres became well-known internationally for his first single "Color Esperanza." He sang this song in 2003 in a worldwide youth event with Pope John Paul II, where more than 1 million people saw his performance.
Upbringing of Diego Torres
Diego Torres is the youngest of five children and comes from an artistic family. His mother is Lolita Torres, a legendary Argentinian actress and singer. She was one of the most beloved artists in the show business in Argentina for almost half a decade, and thanks to his mother, Diego and his siblings grew up surrounded by musicians and artists. This upbringing profoundly influenced his professional career.
When Diego was only four years old, he played the charango (a type of guitar) in a show his mother hosted. As a child, he also learned to play the piano. He began his musical career when he was 17 years old by starting a musical band called La Marca while working as an actor on television. After living several months in the United States, he decided that his future was in music. Since then, he has met countless artists and collaborated with well-known singers, such as Juan Luis Guerra and Rubén Blades.
Involvement with Latin American Causes
Diego Torres is much more than an actor and a singer. In 2010, he was named an ambassador for UNICEF. He also raised money to help children in Haiti and those who suffered from the devastating 2010 earthquake. In 2020, he relaunched "Color Esperanza" in collaboration with many other artists to assist the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and provide much needed help to fight COVID-19 in Latin America and the Caribbean. Diego has long been involved in many causes that are important to the Latin American community and often works on their behalf.
